Congratulations Microsoft for finally introducing some features KDE users already enjoy.

Just saw some Windows 7 screenshots on Heise Online that once again reveals some Microsoft "innovations" that KDE users already enjoy.

Taskbar shows related documents

OK, the first screenshot shows something really new. It associates an entry on the taskbar with documents recently opened with that application. Could be a nice feature. However in general I think the list of recent documents is more useful. Why shall I first start an application to see it in the taskbar and then open a document related to that? But OK... let's give Microsoft one point for that.

Currently there is a poll on KDE-Look regarding your default arrangement of Kicker on the KDE Desktop. Well, this is my current arrangement:

The kicker has a size of 36 Pixels, which is just enough to have two rows for the taskbar, but the icons are still 22x22 (using the default icon spacing setting in the kickerrc file). Then it's automatically hidden.

Previously I used a two panel setup like below. Although I used that for a very long time, it always took a lot of space and space is valuable, if you have a 1024x768 laptop display.
