Currently there is a poll on KDE-Look regarding your default arrangement of Kicker on the KDE Desktop. Well, this is my current arrangement:

Kicker Arrangement Screenshot

The kicker has a size of 36 Pixels, which is just enough to have two rows for the taskbar, but the icons are still 22x22 (using the default icon spacing setting in the kickerrc file). Then it's automatically hidden.

Previously I used a two panel setup like below. Although I used that for a very long time, it always took a lot of space and space is valuable, if you have a 1024x768 laptop display.

*What are the karamba themese you are using in both of these screenshots?

*It's not karamba. I am using torsmo: http://torsmo.sourceforge.net/. However torsmo does not work well, if you don't disable icons on the desktop. But since I use kicker for launching my apps and have no other use for icons on the desktop I don't care.
